Superstars from NXT will become a regular feature on Monday Night Raw from now on, according to Dave Meltzer.
On this week’s RAW, Tommaso Ciampa teamed up with Finn Balor for a match against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, with Ciampa getting the pin over Roode.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the strategy since the launch of NXT 2.0 last September has been to do crossover angles on Raw.
WWE officials want to see at least one main roster talent involved with the NXT brand at all times, ideally with Superstars coming from the main roster to NXT 2.0.
Dolph Ziggler’s involvement on NXT is expected to run through at least the Stand & Deliver special during WrestleMania week.
WWE’s goal with the crossover storylines is to attract more viewers to NXT 2.0, which has struggled since the relaunch last September.
