Throughout his lengthy career, Jake “The Snake” Roberts has wrestled in various cities around the world and amassed a wealth of experience in the process.
On The Snake Pit podcast, Roberts discussed his nightmarish experience with a stalker who resembled him and even conducted personal signings while fraudulently assuming the WWE Hall of Famer’s identity. Roberts said,
“The weirdest and worst… There was a guy that looked something like me and he was following me around the country. And he must have had an incredible booking agent or whatever because this guy was doing personal appearances as well.”
Roberts also revealed how the stalker drugged and robbed a woman he married while pretending to be the wrestler. He said,
“She was connected to the mafia. They called WWF telling me that I was a marked man. They were going to f**king kill me.”
Roberts noted that the dangerous stalker was eventually caught after attempting to assault a masseuse and visiting a bar afterward. The individual was later sentenced to prison.
