Brock Lesnar hasn’t stepped into the Octagon in a very long time, but Jon Jones is still hoping for a fight against the Beast Incarnate.
Jones, a two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, has wanted a fight with Lesnar for years, saying in a 2019 interview that he would embarrass Brock in the cage.
During a recent interview with Sporting News Fights, Jones addressed the possibility of fighting Lesnar, and while the odds are slim, he isn’t counting the fight out entirely. He said,
“It would have been one of those cool David and Goliath situations. It would have been cool for cross-sport promoting and I think we both would have done great things for our families and for our team. You know, financially, that would have been massive. Never say never. Brock, if you’re out there….”
After leaving wrestling behind, Lesnar would join the UFC in 2007 and would quickly become UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Lesnar’s career in the Octagon would end in 2011 before his return to WWE in 2012, though he did have one more fight in 2016 for the UFC 200 event.
This week, it was confirmed that Lesnar will face Omos at WWE WrestleMania 39 this April.
