Keiji Mutoh Signs 2-Year Deal With NOAH, Jun Akiyama Signs 1-Year Deal With DDT

According to a report from Fightful, the legendary Keiji Mutoh has a signed a 2 year contract with Pro Wrestling NOAH. Mutoh recently defeated Go Shiozaki at NOAH Destination 2021: Back to Budokan. He is now the third man in wrestling history to hold the IWGP World Heavyweight, Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship (AJPW) and GHC Heavyweight Championship (NOAH). He will be defending the GHC Heavyweight title against Kaito Kiyomiya at the Great Voyage on March 14th.

Mutoh teased during his contract signing that he is interested in defending the title with Impact Wrestling at some point in the future. That would be Mutoh’s first appearance with Impact since 2014.

Also, Jun Akiayama signed a one year contract with DDT. He will be working with the company full-time. His last match was at Kawasaki Strong 2021 as he defeated Tetsuya Endo.
