It was announced during this week’s WWE SmackDown broadcast that Kofi Kingston will be out of action for six weeks. The storyline angle here is that Big E. will be able to go out on his own and compete in singles competition. Kingston claims he was injured during the SmackDown Tag-Team Championship Tables match at Extreme Rules. This could be the set up angle for Xavier Woods’ return, which would lead to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods teaming up as The New Day to face Cesaro/Nakamura while Big E. goes out on his own. This comes on the heels of a report earlier today indicating that Vince McMahon wants to build up new stars.

During this week’s WWE SmackDown broadcast, King Corbin came out and put a bounty on Matt Riddle’s head. During the show, Riddle defeated Tony Nese. Following the match, Corbin cut a promo and said that anyone who can prove that Riddle doesn’t belong on SmackDown will take the bounty:
