Matt Riddle lost the NJPW World TV Championship to Zack Sabre Jr. at Friday’s NJPW ‘Windy City Riot’ 2024 event, and his exit from the ring had fans speculating about his future in Japan.

Following the loss, Riddle quickly left the ring and high-fived fans on his way to the back.

The move fueled rumors that Riddle has wrapped up with NJPW for now, though that has yet to be confirmed.

At present, Riddle isn’t booked for any NJPW matches in the future, though he previously announced that his work visa allows him to work in Japan throughout the year.

In addition to appearing for NJPW, Riddle has been a regular for MLW following his departure from WWE in September 2023.
