Fans have really been getting behind Kofi Kingston lately. The New Day member was part of the WWE Title match at Elimination Chamber this past weekend in Houston, Texas. He was part of the final two in the match, against defending champion Daniel Bryan, only to be defeated when it was all said and done. After the contest, Kingston received a standing ovation and cheers from the crowd.
On last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Shane Mcmahon announced Bryan would be defending his WWE Title against Kingston at the Fastlane pay-per-view (PPV) from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10, 2019. Kingston took to Twitter to react to the news:
“All I have ever wanted was a chance…and it’s finally happening. Words cannot express my excitement or my gratitude for this truly rare opportunity. Over Eleven years…I am so ready! To #WWEFastlane we go!”
