LA Knight was sent home from this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown after testing positive for COVID-19.
According to a report from Fightful, several WWE sources stated that LA Knight tested positive for COVID-19 just before WWE SmackDown went on the air. He was in the arena and was immediately sent home.
The plan for the main event segment was for LA Knight to be involved, likely replacing AJ Styles after the injury angle. Additionally, Knight was internally listed as teaming with John Cena in a dark match following the show.
It remains to be seen whether John Cena and LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa will be taking place at the WWE Fastlane 2023 pay-per-view event.
It should be noted that prior to leaving the arena, Knight gave the company permission to reveal his medical status.
