Lex Luger was a big fan of his record-setting run as NWA United States Champion.
From May of 1989 through October of 1990, Luger held the title for 523 days. Additionally, Luger holds the record for the most total days as the champion at 950.
During a recent Sign It Live virtual signing for Highspots, Luger talked about how proud he is of those records. He said,
“It’s one of my first really big titles I won and have the longest reign accumulatively and then the longest-running reign at 500 something days, pretty special. I’ve got this one at home, perfect.”
