Tonight in Boston, Massachusetts, WWE will present the annual “Survivor Series” pay-per-view. The final “big four” pay-per-view for the year of 2013. The show is scheduled to feature six matches, including a seventh on the “Kickoff Show” prior to the start of the pay-per-view telecast. According to rumors, however, there may be an eighth.

WWE Superstar and “bully” Ryback is reportedly going to issue an “open challenge” to anyone on the WWE roster during Survivor Series tonight. On RAW on Monday, Ryback lost to the giant Bg Show. On SmackDown on Tuesday, Ryback issued an open challenge that was answered by the giant Great Khali. Tonight, there seems to be no “giants” left on the active roster to answer such a challenge. Enter Mark Henry.

WWE Superstar Mark Henry is rumored to be in Boston, the site of tonight’s pay-per-view. While his presence doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll actually make his WWE return tonight, it definitely seems interesting when you consider the trend. Ryback has faced large foe after large foe this week, and has finally come out and admitted to being a bully. Since he is a big guy himself, and an admitted bully, WWE has been giving him guys bigger than him, basically saying, “try and pick on THIS guy!” — in storyline fashion, of course.

If Ryback does issue his rumored “open challenge” tonight, it seems to make perfect sense that Mark Henry, arguably the only really big guy left, will be the one to respond. WWE Superstar Sheamus is also in town for tonight’s show, however he is not expected to return to the ring just yet. This would indicate that Henry, who is reportedly ready to get back to action, will do so in tonight’s Ryback challenge.

These two are no strangers to each other. Both guys feuded during the build up to the 2013 WrestleMania. The feud culminated in a showdown at WrestleMania 29. Henry returning tonight to respond to the challenge laid out by Ryback makes perfect sense from a storyline standpoint, and since Henry is due back at any point anyways, it seems to make perfect sense considering their past, and considering the storyline trend of large guys responding to Ryback’s bully challenges.

Don’t forget, by the way, that if Henry does show up, he may not exactly look how we remember. As eWN reported previously, Henry has shaved his head completely bald and has reportedly lost a substantial amount of weight. Despite dropping an estimated 50 pounds, however, Henry is still one of the last “big guys” left to take on the lead-bully in World Wrestling Entertainment.

It all goes down at tonight’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, which eWrestlingNews.com will be covering in-depth with live play-by-play results coverage. Make sure to check back here at eWN later tonight to see if Henry is the guy who will answer Ryback’s challenge, and to read our detailed results coverage of the event as a whole.
