Major Update On WrestleCon 2014 + Big Indy Event Set

— It was announced via press release that a benefit show has been organized to help out indy wrestler Creep. Creep was injured in a match on August 27 when his femur was broken and a “supershow” is set for Wyandotte, Michigan on June 7th. The show has the following card:

* IBW World Championship Match: Alcatraz vs “Richie Boy” Breyer Wellington

* Xavier Justice vs. Ace Evans

* WAR Tag Team Championship Match: The Outlaws (w/Woody Lee) vs. Vinny and Sonny Scarboni (w/Johnny Delicious)

* Klunk the Clown vs. Mr. Electricity

* XICW Lightweight Championship: Austin Manix vs. Jaimy CoxXx vs. Jimmy Jacobs vs. T.D.

* JPI (Mark Gjoka, Bry Sullivan, Paul Bowser & Jonathan Presley) vs. Mike Marvel, Willie Watts, Akuma & Bryan Castle

* The D.B.A. vs. Caleb Stills

* Kid Hybrid vs. Chaz Montana vs. Owen Travers

* Eddie Venom vs. Gideon Malice

* Bump’N’Uglies vs. The Sons of Michigan (Amazing N8 and Ben Boone)

* Appearances by Truth Martini, “TD” Tadarius Thomas, Jimmy Jacobs and Zach Gowen

— WrestleCon announced via press release that they will be holding their yearly convention over WrestleMania week in New Orleans, the site of WrestleMania 30. The convention will take place at The Sugar Mill, across from WWE’s AXXESS location for WrestleMania 30. The convention also noted that they have negotiated group rates with three hotel partners in various parts of the city.

Also noted in the release was an announcement that live everts will not be under the same roof as the convention. The convention will be held over three sessions, with each session running $25. You will be able to preorder all three sessions for $60 beginning July 1st. More specific details will be released over the next four weeks prior to any tickets being sold.

So far, the group has announced “tentative entertainment” plans including an indy SuperShow on Saturday evening with PWG, CZW and stars of ROH confirmed; an acoustic musical performance; a “Marty Gras” comedy session with Marty DeRosa; a live “Art of Wrestling” podcast with Colt Cabana; a live special edition of the Kevin Steen Show; a live special edition of OLD SCHOOL hosted by Steve Corino; a wrestling exhibition provided by Wildkat Sports and Entertainment and the $5 Wrestling Live Hall of Fame after party.
