WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is seriously considering leaving Twitter following the news on Monday that SpaceX founder Elon Musk has purchased the social media giant for $44 billion.
As you’d expect, many people are either upset or thrilled by the news.
While Musk is a registered “Independent” voter, he often leans far-right with many of his tweets.
For years now, Musk has been calling for changes to the platform. He’s also made it very clear that he wants to limit content moderation in the name of “free speech”. Of course, that means hate speech and fake news articles regarding politics and other news stories will likely be able to reign free once the sale is completed later this year.
Foley said,
“I’ll be giving some serious thought to leaving @Twitter for good in the near future.
I do not have a good feeling about where this platform is heading.”
