On a recent edition of his “Monday Mailbag” podcast, former WWE referee Nick Patrick evaluated the status of CM Punk following his AEW firing earlier this month and discussed the possibility of the former AEW World Champion returning to WWE.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On CM Punk possibly returning to WWE: “I thought he was really hot at one time, he’s not nearly as hot now as he was then, but they can still make some money with that kid if done right, but there’s so much about attitude check, especially up in WWE. I’ve heard Vince [McMahon] say the words come out of his mouth, ‘I can’t F with them if they don’t work for me.’ He hired people just to F with them, well damn.”

On never having a problem with CM Punk backstage: “I didn’t have a problem with him that’s why I am so surprised in a lot of the drama and it makes me wonder if a lot of it is a work, especially the recent stuff, but, I never had a problem with him, he was very polite to me.”

During a recent appearance on the “Ikuzo’s Unscriptify Podcast,” Tyler Breeze recalled working with Adam Cole in WWE NXT.

Breeze used to be worried about not taking Cole’s Panama Sunrise finisher safely.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On working with Adam Cole: “I was working with Cole, and I went, ‘I don’t know if I can take your little Canadian Destroyer, I don’t know if I can take it.’ Now, you see a lot of them. Before it used to be a big deal, now it’s not really a thing.”

On worrying he couldn’t take it safely and make it look good: “I see people and they would take it crazy and I went, ‘I don’t know how you do that. I don’t know if I can do that safely and make it look good.’ Me, personally, I wouldn’t be worried so much about me getting hurt because he’s never hurt anybody with it, but I just don’t think I can make it look as good as I’d want to, so I would be like, ‘Hey, if you do something else, I can make it look really good and I’d rather do that one,’ not so much scared to take it or as a danger thing, just more of a, I’d hate to build a really good match and just let the air out of it by taking a bad move that looks like crap.”
