Bryan Danielson will face Zack Sabre Jr. at AEW WrestleDream 2023 on Sunday, October 1, in Seattle, Washington.
Fightful Select is reporting that AEW had already planned for Sabre Jr. to face Danielson at AEW WrestleDream 2023 when The American Dragon made his return to television on the September 2nd edition of AEW Collision.
AEW officially announced the match on Collision this past weekend.
Danielson and Sabre Jr. were originally supposed to face each other at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 pay-per-view event, but the Blackpool Combat Club member was unable to compete due to an injury.
The report also states that the storyline with The Acclaimed and House Of Black, culminating with The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn winning the AEW World Trios Championships at All In 2023 was planned out back in the early summer.
