Apollo Crews has been out of action for the past few weeks and he missed Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV despite being advertised to defend the United States Title against MVP.
Dave Meltzer reported on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio episode that Crews hasn’t been used due to COVID-19. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on whether Crews actually tested positive for COVID-19 despite what other reports have claimed.
The storyline reason given for his absence was that he had a bulging disc in his back because of Bobby Lashley’s attack.
