The ROH Center Stage card will feature some NWA inclusion, as the Ten Pounds of Gold will be defended.

Champion Nick Aldis will do battle with former WWE competitor, PJ Black aka Justin Gabriel.

The following preview is from Ring of Honor’s official website:

NWA WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH

NWA WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION NICK ALDIS vs. PJ BLACK

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title has a rich history in Atlanta, including “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes winning the title from Harley Race at The Omni in 1981. Center Stage also is steeped in pro wrestling history, as World Championship Wrestling held its television tapings at the venue in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Black hopes to make history himself by defeating Aldis for a championship that has been held by some of the biggest legends in the sport.

Since making his in-ring debut at age 16 in 1997, Black has earned a reputation as one of the most innovative high-flyers and risk-takers in the sport. After competing in his native South Africa and Europe, the “Darewolf” came to the United States in 2008 and signed with WWE. He is a former three-time WWE Tag Team Champion and has scored victories over the likes of Edge, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and Cesaro (former ROH star Claudio Castagnoli).

Black made his ROH debut at Survival of the Fittest last month, as he defeated Luchasaurus in a qualifying match to advance to the six-way elimination match. Black made his second appearance in ROH this past weekend in Philadelphia, where he faced Juice Robinson in a match that will air on a future episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling.

Aldis has proved to be a worthy champion since winning the title in December 2017. He successfully defended the “10 pounds of gold” for 266 days before losing it to Cody in September. The native of England regained the championship from Cody seven weeks later in a two-out-of-three falls match.

Aldis made several appearances in ROH in 2018, most recently at the end of September, when he defeated Christopher Daniels. During his 13-year career, Aldis has defeated such stars as Sting, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

Can Aldis turn back Black’s challenge? Or will history be made in Atlanta once again? Join us LIVE to find out!
