The NXT UK roster isn’t buying Shawn Michaels’ claim that the show will return after a “brief hiatus” following World’s Collide.

Earlier today, WWE confirmed NXT Europe, which is set to launch at some point next year.

In a statement, Michaels, WWE’s Vice President of Talent Development Creative, said that the new brand will see NXT UK go on a “brief hiatus.”

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about NXT UK’s situation and the concerned roster.

“There are many people in NXT UK who are presuming that it’s not long for the world, there are people in NXT that are presuming, with Blair Davenport being back, there are a couple of other people on their way on, NXT UK has cancelled next year’s tapings.

“There are all these signs but WWE has not announced anything officially. Nobody’s been told ”Oh no no you don’t need to worry.” So, the people in the UK who were not called into the United States are very worried.

NXT World’s Collide will take place on September 4, the same day as AEW’s All Out Pay Per View.
