UPDATE: As reported earlier here on eWrestlingNews.com, Rich Swann suffered a concussion during an MLW event on Thursday night and was pulled from tonight’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event. Swann was originally set for a 4-way against Johnny Impact, Ishimori and Rey Fenix. Petey Williams will take Swann’s place, as you can see below:
Unfortunately due to an injury suffered earlier this week @GottaGetSwann has to withdraw from tonight’s international four way match.
However that match will become even more international as Canada’s own @iPeteyWilliams will take his place! pic.twitter.com/Tapu4NdIxh

We want to wish @GottaGetSwann the very best as he recovers and he’ll be back the second he’s 100% and ready to go!

ORIGINAL: As noted, MLW held TV tapings on Thursday night in Queens, NY at the Melrose Ballroom. Pwinsider.com is reporting that Rich Swann was injured and taken to the hospital following his tag team match at the tapings for what is believed to be a bad concussion suffered in the latter part of his match with ACH against Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr.
It was reported that Impact Wrestling is aware of the situation and are working on a possible replacement for Swann if he is unable to compete at Slammiversary this Sunday where he is slated to take on Rey Fenix, Johnny Impact and Taiji Ishimori in a Fatal Four-Way match.
In an update, F4Wonline.com is reporting that Swann has been pulled from Slammiversary. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on who his replacement will be.
