According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, three different companies are currently in talks with former WWE and MLW wrestler Davey Boy Smith Jr (DH Smith in WWE) about his future plans. As of now, he plans on continuing to work for MLW, which “kind of tells you who his move won’t be with.” Of course, WWE doesn’t like to work with other companies that they are not associated with. Also, given his issues with Gedo, it’s not likely he’d go back to NJPW. That leaves AEW and Impact Wrestling as the two main American promotions.
Also, Smith has been training with Jack Swagger to help him get ready for his next fight in Bellator. With that being said, Bellator MMA is currently interested in Smith as well.
