AEW President Tony Khan announced in 2022 that his wrestling company had earned about $100 million in revenue and that the promotion would cross that figure in the new year.

It turns out that the speculations were right as All Elite Wrestling has had a major boost in their revenue as 2023 draws to a close.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that AEW will finish 2023 grossing between $170-$175 million in revenue, which is a 67% increase from 2022.

The report further states that 2024 could be an even bigger year for AEW courtesy of the new television rights deal the promotion will acquire.

A big contribution for the current year could be the increased number of pay-per-view events (Wrestle Dream & Worlds End) and increased ticket prices for live events.

The gate from AEW All In 2023 at Wembley Stadium itself grossed over $10 million.

As for 2023, there are several grounds for AEW’s growth in revenue. AEW All In 2023 generated $16.5 million between the live gate, event, and merchandise, before including sponsorships.

The AEW Fight Forever video game also generated significant revenue although that won’t be as prominent heading into the new year.

The TV taping and house show tickets generated an estimated $18 million, merchandise earned $4 million, and live gates from the non-London pay-per-view events were around $6 million.

That’s a total estimate of $58.5 million, and the remaining $111.5 to $116.5 million would be from worldwide media rights, sponsorships, television ad splits, licensing, and video game revenue.

You can check out the last four years of AEW’s revenue below:

2020: $64 million
2021: $86 million
2022: $100 million+
2023: $170-175 million
