AEW’s Tay Melo will have to find some way to make two different events tomorrow night after being double booked.
Melo, formerly known as Tay Conti, signed with AEW in September 2020 after being released from WWE in April of that year.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about Melo being booked for a World Mixed Tag Title Match at the AAA Noche de Campeones event in Acapulco, Mexico.
Melo is also booked for the upcoming AEW Dynamite in Bloomfield, Colorado.
“There’s going to be a World Mixed-Tag Title match with Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo against vs Otcagon Jr. and Lady Shani vs Komander and Sexy Star II. Tay and Anna Jay are supposed to compete this week on Dynamite. So, Tay’s got to be in two places at the same time, which will be very difficult. They got Tay booked in Bloomfield, Colorado and Acapulco, Mexico at the same time.”
Tony Khan has not publicly commented on Melo’s double booking or how either promotion will get around it.
