According to a report from Fightful, WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia on Friday, May 3rd. As many of you know, the company held their big “Crown Jewel” event in the country in November of 2018. The WWE Network event was broadcast live from the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.
We reported in March of last year that WWE had signed a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority. The Saudi General Sports Authority sponsored the “Greatest Royal Rumble” and “Crown Jewel” events in 2019. The plan included bringing WWE events to the region in sport of Vision 2030, which is Saudi Arabia’s social and economic reform program.
There is no word on if the May 3rd, 2019 event will air live or on the WWE Network.
