WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio hopes to be back in the ring in time for the Men’s Royal Rumble match that will take place later this month.
On a recent edition of the “Baker Banter” podcast, Mysterio was asked about a possible return at the upcoming event. He said,
“I’m really working hard on my physical therapy. I just had knee surgery, thanks to Santos Escobar, and his time will come eventually. I do hope that I can return for the Rumble, if not shortly after that. I am working very hard to make my return as soon as possible.”
Mysterio hasn’t appeared for WWE since November 2023 when he was written off TV with an attack by Santos Escobar, who has left the LWO.
It is currently unknown when Mysterio will return to TV. Mysterio won the 2006 Royal Rumble match and would win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22.
