WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has shared his views on the upcoming first-ever AEW Iron Man match which is set to take place later this week.
At AEW Revolution 2023 on March 5, AEW World Champion MJF will defend against Bryan Danielson, in MJF’s first title defense on pay-per-view.
Ric Flair knows all about lengthy matches, as he went to several hour-long finishes in his day, and spoke about the match on his To Be the Man podcast. He said,
“I love those kind of matches. There’s so few people that can pull them off because they have to go sixty minutes, right? That alone is an art in itself. I don’t give a s**t what anyone says. I don’t think MJF has done a Broadway before.”
Flair added that MJF should retain the AEW World Championship, believing it would be a source of great material for MJF should he defeat the veteran technician.
The Nature Boy insisted that the match should headline, using the adage that the “champion goes on last.”
AEW Revolution 2023 will take place on March 5, at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
