Naomi’s suspension from WWE may not be the only reason for her absence from the promotion, according to her former tag team partner Cameron.
Naomi was suspended in May 2022, after walking out of an episode of RAW with Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone due to a creative conflict.
WWE suspended the pair days later and there has been no confirmation as to how long the suspension has lasted or whether it has been lifted.
Cameron, real name Ariane Andrew, appeared for a virtual signing with Golden Ring Collectibles this week and claimed that Naomi is also recovering from shoulder surgery. She said,
“I know she’s recovering from shoulder surgery. But, I’m super proud of her. That’s my sister from another mister and I think you have to ask her for yourself how she’s feeling. See if her shoulder is feeling good because she’s recovering right now.”
Naomi and Cameron were allies in WWE as the Funkadactyls until the pair split and briefly feuded in 2014.
