Ric Flair’s last match may not have lived up to expectations, but the 16-time World Champion made a killing with his performance.
In July 2022, Flair competed in his first match in over a decade, in which he teamed with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.
Given the years Flair had spent not wrestling, and his advanced age, his performance in the match faced criticism from many people.
During his To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair argued that it didn’t matter what critics made of the match, given how much he made. He said,
“I don’t pay attention to that [critics.] Do you know what I got to say to that? I made three hundred thousand dollars. Go f*ck yourselves. That’s right, I made three hundred thousand dollars disgusting you! Disgust yourself for three hundred grand and get in the shape that I got in. How about that, motherf*ckers?”
Despite being billed as Flair’s last match, the Nature Boy has teased returning to the ring and has had his own criticisms about the match.
