Road Dogg Says He’s Buried The Hatchet With CM Punk

Brian “Road Dogg” James has been able to make amends with CM Punk now that the former AEW World Champion is once again a WWE Superstar.

As the host of his own podcast, James has often taken issue with Punk, who has often been critical of WWE’s creative process that James has been a part of for years.

On a recent edition of his “Oh You Didn’t Know” podcast, James spoke about his past issues with Punk and how they have been able to move on. He said,

“All that negativity came out of me when he looked at me and he shrugged. And it’s like that ‘Brothers, don’t shake hands, brothers gottta hug’ thing, and we hugged. It made me feel good for him to do that, by the way.”

“It made me immediately feel ashamed of my behavior, not his, not anything he did. It made me ashamed of my behavior. We then had a couple of ‘I believe God works in mysterious ways,’ and he worked that weekend. That weekend, I was stuck in Stamford. Every bit of it was orchestrated to put me and Punk in certain situations. We were just put together for like five days in a row working together and speaking about the future, and working with what I do in my job.”

James added that his experience with Punk convinced him to “look at everyone through God’s eyes” and try and be less negative in his life.
