Samoa Joe confirmed on Twitter that he suffered an injury during his NXT Title match with Shinsuke Nakamura at Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II special at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
As seen at the event, the referee held up the “X” sign following the match to signal for trainers to come down and check on Joe. It appears that Joe hurt his jaw when he was hit with a hard knee shot from Nakamura.
Joe noted on Twitter that he suffered a dislocated jaw and is looking forward to being cleared soon.
