Saraya has called the idea of competing for the AEW Women’s World Championship “bizarre” ahead of tonight’s Revolution pay-per-view event.

The former Superstar debuted for AEW last September following her WWE exit in July 2022 and has a handful of matches for the promotion.

At tonight’s Revolution pay-per-view event, Saraya will challenge AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter in a triple-threat match that will include Ruby Soho.

Ahead of her first championship match in over six years, Saraya told DAZN Wrestling that she never thought this day would come.

“It’s very bizarre. I never thought I’d see this day, and then to be going up for a championship. It’s such a prestigious championship too in AEW. I’m going straight to the top and I feel good about it. It’s really incredible, and never thought I’d see that day.”

Tonight’s show will feature eight matches on the main card, including AEW World Champion MJF vs. Bryan Danielson in the company’s first Iron Man match.
