As seen at Saturday night’s WWE NXT Takeover: Orlando event, Bobby Roode defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event to retain the NXT World Title. Following the match, Nakamura appeared to say goodbye to the NXT fans. This was followed by a curtain call of sorts. Nakamura celebrated in the ring while the fans inside the Amway Center sang his theme song and chanted “Thank you Shinsuke.” A video of the post-show segment can be seen below:
We reported last week here on eWn that there are rumors suggesting that Nakamura will be joining the SmackDown roster and will make his debut as early as this Tuesday night.
Nakamura tweeted the following after the WWE NXT Takeover: Orlando event:
Finished #NXTTakeOverOrlando Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
