Many AEW names are finishing up on the independents as they get ready for weekly television on TNT with AEW Dynamite.

Sonny Kiss recently had his last match on the independent scene. Afterward, Sonny took to Instagram to reflect on this emotional time in his career:

Sunday night at @greektownwrestling, I had my last match as an independent wrestler. I feel joyful. I feel overwhelmed. I feel sad. I feel anxious. So many emotions! All of that hard work has lead me to working with what’s going to be (starting October 2nd @aewontnt ) one of the greatest wrestling promotions in the world! Thank you to every promotion that I have ever worked for. Thank you for taking the chance on a unique human being such as myself.
I am a little late with revealing this news, but as of last week—I have officially been released from one of the most unique TV/professional wrestling shows to ever exist you all know as Lucha Underground. Unfortunately, I was only on season 4, but I am so thankful for being given a chance to perform alongside a group of beautiful, talented, and amazing people and create some bonds that will last a lifetime. It was honestly some of the greatest and most exciting times of my life. To all of the fans who consistently supported me no matter what promotion, no matter the circumstances; you guys have truly all grown with me. I am so excited that we get to take this passion to a grander scale. I hope I can continue to make you guys proud! Thank YOU!
