The result of last night’s MLW Fightland main event has now been revealed.
The match saw Alexander Hammerstone face-off against MLW World Champion Jacob Fatu, with Hammerstone leaving as the new World Champion. PWInsider also reported that the match went over 30 minutes with the crowd torn over who they wanted to win, with them being “very much down the middle”.
This marks the beginning of Hammerstone’s first run as MLW World Champion, ending Fatu’s reign at 819 days. It also makes Hammerstone the ninth man to hold the title.
The full MLW Fightland show will air this coming Thursday on VICE at 10PM EST.
