Ted DiBiase Sr. Recalls Gene Okerlund & Bobby Heenan Leaving WWE For WCW

On a recent edition of his “Everybody’s Got A Pod” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. recalled Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan leaving WWE for WCW, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan leaving WWE for WCW in late 1993: “Yeah, I mean, because of them being established as they were. They were put in those positions because they were very good at that. They were good on a microphone. Oh, my gosh, Bobby Heenan, in terms of being a guy on the mic he was great. He was a great manager. I mean, that was really his gift. And I wouldn’t call him the greatest wrestler in the world, but he had feuds too in the whole managing gimmick. He was one of the hottest, most hated managers in wrestling. And yeah, I thought they did great personally.”

On his relationship with Madusa: “We were friendly. I mean, it wasn’t like bosom buddies or anything, but I thought she was pretty nice. I never heard anything horrible about her. What little time I was around her? I thought she was deserving.”
