According to sources, WWE originally planned to have a different match main event Sunday night’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event.
The original plan was to have Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax close out the MITB pay-per-view. That would have been followed by Alexa Bliss cashing in her Money in the Bank shot to win the WWE Championship. At some point over the weekend, WWE decided to switch things up and close the show with the men’s Money in the Bank match instead.
