This Week’s SD Rating Rises, The Big Show Update & More

— Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown drew 2.95 million and a 2.08 (2.1) cable rating. Those numbers are up 8% and 9% respectively from 2.73 million and a 1.9 last week. The show had a 0.9 rating in the 18 – 49 demo, up from a 0.7 the week before.

— As noted earlier, the Big E. Langston vs. Curtis Axel match from WWE Main Event was canceled last week because Langston was traveling to Europe for the overseas tour. The belief within WWE is that the match will happen on TV at some point this week.

— WWE will give a portion of the money earned from WWE Shop sales today to Hire Heroes USA in honor of Veteran’s Day.

— As we previously reported, The Big Show worked a show in Cardiff, Wales this past Sunday hurt and was seen limping around. His match with Randy Orton was cut short as a result. However, Show is backstage in Manchester for RAW and is said to be in much better shape now.
