As we previously reported here on eWn, Anthem terminated the contract of Scott D’Amore and replaced him with new TNA President Anthony Cicione.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that former Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm is also no longer working with TNA.

Nordholm was succeeded by D’Amore, who was EVP and got promoted a year ago.

Nordholm still worked with the promotion through his role in Anthem Sports & Entertainment. He was removed from TNA a few years ago.

Nordholm and D’Amore’s firings happening at around the same time are “directly related.”

Nordholm reportedly pushed Anthem to make offers for CM Punk and Will Ospreay, which the company agreed to do at the time.

Punk eventually returned to WWE while Ospreay signed with AEW.
