ROH World Tag Team Champions Better Than You Bay Bay has sold an “ungodly amount” of merchandise according to AEW President Tony Khan.
The pairing of MJF & Adam Cole has certainly proven to be a hit with fans and headlined AEW’s largest-ever event All In 2023 last month.
During the media call to promote Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event, Khan spoke about MJF’s recent run after years as a fully-fledged heel. He said,
“You don’t have to hate him anymore because ‘he’s our scumbag.’ That’s something that has really been embraced by the fans and it’s shown because Better Than You Bay Bay has sold an ungodly amount of merchandise and they continue to rack up that merch money for us, which is awesome. They get these massive reactions and it’s befitting of a top star and, in this case, a fan favorite.”
Khan added that Cole, who suffered an injury last week, will have his WrestleDream status addressed on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
