AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter today to announce that this week’s AEW Grand Slam taping is close to hitting a $1 million gate. This would be the first time in the company’s short history that a gate of one million dollars has happened for a TV taping.
Khan wrote,

$1 million @AEWonTV gate, after 3 straight PPVs hitting $1 million for the 1st time
