Many questions surround CM Punk and his status in AEW after his backstage altercation following the All Out 2022 media scrum. The former AEW World Champion is still suspended while the Elite seemingly are returning to television soon.
According to a report from Fightful, there isn’t currently any litigation regarding Punk. The site also noted that a WWE source says the company would “likely be interested” in “possibly” using Punk in the future. Representatives from other wrestling companies would be interested in having a conversation with him, but they are unsure how motivated he would be to continue wrestling after the incident that took place at All Out.
Additionally, several sources involved in the autograph signing circuit say they expect Punk would be in high demand if he becomes available for public signings and appearances.
Finally, a source close to Punk reportedly stated that he’s “got the wrestling bug again,” indicating that a potential retirement may be out of the question.
