The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson) have been away from AEW since the All Out 2022 event back in September. Following that show, the now infamous media scrum after the event’s conclusion saw a physical altercation between the Elite and CM Punk and Ace Steel.

Since that incident, neither Omega nor the Bucks have worked in their backstage capacity as EVPs. According to a new report from Fightful, there is conversation that the trio could return (at least in a backstage capacity) imminently. No one could say definitively when they’re expected to be back on the job.

The inaugural AEW Trios Champions were among those suspended following the events immediately after All Out. CM Punk’s status remains in limbo, while Ace Steel has been released. There has been more movement over the last couple of weeks. A meeting was scheduled for last week, though an agenda for that meeting is not known. There is also no word on when all parties involved might return to television.
