Don’t get too excited about WWE moving to TV-14 anytime soon.
According to a new report from Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, Monday Night RAW won’t be going to TV-14 on July 18 as originally reported. However, it’s still being considered for a different date.
Apparently, a memo about RAW having the rating changed was sent out internally to the USA Network, however, this was sent out prematurely and the date was not finalized.
A move to TV-14 may not mean a significant content change, as WWE NXT has shown more edgy content lately but is still rated TV-PG. Cable shows are not required to meet a certain standard in order to hit certain ratings, though input into the content from networks and sponsors is always taken for effect.
This is a wild situation. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes
WWE Raw won’t be going to TV-14 on July 18th but still in consideration for a later date.
Will go live tomorrow morning to break this down. https://t.co/F29mP8xCwy
