Former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo was far from impressed with the stories, or lack thereof, presented on this week’s episode of RAW.
The October 9th edition of RAW saw the red brand build towards next month’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view event, which will see World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defend against Drew McIntyre.
Speaking about RAW, Russo told “Wrestle Binge” that there is too much focus on wrestling and not enough on storytelling. He said,
“Everything with this show is just wrestling. They just want to wrestle each other. There isn’t one single storyline on this show. I guess, Chris, the closest thing to a storyline is, you know, Drew McIntyre is not gonna save the day anymore. But that’s not even a storyline, bro. That is his character. There isn’t one storyline on this show, and match, after match, after match, and oh my gosh bro, like I said, if you’re a sports fan, you’re not watching this show tonight bro.”
During this week’s episode of RAW, McIntyre grabbed Damian Priest’s Money in the Bank briefcase, preventing the Judgment Day member from cashing in.
