Last night’s WrestleMania featured a historic headlining bout in which women competed for both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship. The end of the match was not without controversy, however.
Becky Lynch’s crowning moment so her pin Ronda Rousey with a crucifix like maneuver even though Ronda appeared to get a shoulder up.
Fightful is reporting that this finish was botched, with the referee of the bout messing up the count:
However, another report coming in from Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio show suggests that this was not a screw up and things went off as intended, with Ronda getting her shoulder up being added to the finish at the last moment.
Ronda Rousey, who suffered a broken hand in the match, has been expected to go away from WWE after this match up for quite some time.
