XFL co-owner Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson electrified the crowd by kicking off the new NFL season last night.
In 2020, The Rock and business partner Dany Garcia purchased the XFL from Alpha Entertainment, a company set up by former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Appearing at SoFi Stadium in California on Thursday night, The Rock welcomed fans to the new season, complete with his iconic WWE theme song and pose.

The game saw the very impressive Buffalo Bills demolish the Superbowl Champions – Los Angeles Rams – 31-10.
The XFL, set for a 2023 launch date, will work with the NFL on what Johnson called “innovation opportunities.”
SoFi Stadium will also play host to WrestleMania 39, which reports have suggested will see The Rock face his cousin Roman Reigns.
