In a new promo video, Will Ospreay issued a challenge to Kazuchika Okada for next month’s NJPW Battle In The Valley event in San Jose, California.
Ospreay is scheduled to defend the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against Jon Moxley and David Finlay at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.
However, Ospreay is so confident about retaining the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 that he didn’t hesitate to challenge Okada.
Ospreay and Okada last wrestled each other earlier this year during the G1 Climax 33 tournament, with The Aerial Assassin picking scoring the win. Okada also defended the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Ospreay on Night Two of Wrestle Kingdom 16 in January 2022 at the Tokyo Dome.
NJPW Battle in the Valley 2024 takes place on January 13, just nine days after Wrestle Kingdom 18 at the Tokyo Dome.
Asked if his AEW status affects Wrestle Kingdom and @willospreay in 2024, Ospreay has an idea of how to show his commitment to the IWGP Global title- a challenge to Okada Jan 13 in San Jose!
