WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs.Natalya was booked at this year’s WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
They went back and forth early. Natalya tossed her into the ring ropes. Ronda fought back and even locked in the sharpshooter at one point. They brawled on the floor before Natalya put her in the sharpshooter on the apron. Rousey rolled through and sent Natalya head first into the ring post. Back in the ring, Natalya went for the sharpshooter again, but Rousey reversed and put her in the ankle lock. Rousey then put her into the armbar for the win.
Winner: Rousey.
Following the match, Liv Morgan ran out to the ring and cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Morgan kicked the bad knee of Rousey, who had her in the ankle lock and rolled up Rousey for the win. Morgan is the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
