During Saturday night’s WWE NXT Deadline 2023 pay-per-view event, Carmelo Hayes got a measure of revenge as he defeated Lexis King in a singles contest.
King had been implying that he either attacked Trick Williams or knew who did, but that turned out to be a white lie.
After Hayes pinned King, the latter declared that he didn’t attack Trick and thanked Hayes for the pay-per-view exposure, implying that he only lied to get the spotlight.
