According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE attempted to buy Pro Wrestling NOAH for the NXT brand. This is one of several companies WWE had talked to about trying to purchase. As of now, there is no word on if any of the other deals went through but it is confirmed that the NOAH deal did not go through.
There is also talk of some “big names” being hired as developmental trainers, with two in particular that are being rumored.
