WWE Royal Rumble 2014 is this Sunday and I cannot wait for this show. I always have been a fan of this pay-per-view for a couple of reasons. It is very unpredictable to as who is going to win the Royal Rumble match and it is the first step into WrestleMania season.
This is the best time to be a wrestling fan of WWE. Onto the card:
Pre-show Tag Team Title Match: Rhode Brothers © Vs. New Age Outlaws
New Age Outlaws earned the title shot two weeks ago on Smackdown where they beat the Rhodes Brothers. Goldust and Cody Rhodes have done an amazing job as champions, but it is time to move on unfortunately. I see them dropping the titles for two reasons here. 1. So we can start the ‘Brother vs. Brother’ story-line at WrestleMania 30. Also they need a hot start to the show, so let’s have a title change. NAO can hold the belts until WrestleMania and drop it to an up and coming team. My choice would be the Usos.
Winners and New tag team champions: New Age Outlaws
Bray Wyatt Vs. Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan rebelled against the family, challenged Bray to a match at the Royal Rumble. I think it’s pretty obvious on how this one will end. I see Daniel Bryan being attacked by Harper and Rowan causing the DQ. They get their revenge on the ‘Yes chanting’ little man.
Winner: Daniel Bryan Via DQ
Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar
This has been a nice build up to this fight, yes I said a fight! I strongly believe this could be match of the night. I also think they will turn it into a No DQ match just so they can brawl a bit more. There is no doubt we will get a brawl and with Brock Lesnar pushing for a WWE World Heavyweight title he should win the match. I think Big Show will give a run for his money, but at the end of the day. It should be Lesnar taking the win in this match of the night contender.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
2014 Royal Rumble Match
The big match that everyone is looking forward to, I hope it will be the main event and I believe it should. Most likely Orton Vs. Cena will take the main event and I think that is a mistake. Royal Rumble match is the big one and should main event its own show. None the less, let’s get into some top contenders. If returning: RVD, Sheamus, Chris Jericho. If they do not come back then a CM Punk, Roman Reigns. Of course I strongly believe there is only one man that has a real shot at winning this (Batista)
Prediction: Batista
WWE Title Match: Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena
It should be noted that this match can only end in the way of pin fall or submission only. This makes me believe that there will be a flubbed finish. Someone will interfere and cost John Cena the match. There is no reason to put the title on Cena, just because would there be a third match between him and Orton? Too many questions and honestly I think everyone can agree this feud is done with. It should also be noted they have not done a great job building up this big rematch. That should be a sign of the end for this program. Orton wins with an RKO off a distraction to retain.
Winner: Randy Orton
