Kurt Angle recently appeared on SmackDown to celebrate his birthday. Angle’s “son” Jason Jordan gifted Angle a photo of himself, framed with a heart of macaroni, and an inscription declaring that Angle was the “#1 Dad.”
Despite the heartfelt intentions, Angle was unmoved by the gift, callously leaving it at the arena on the night. And yet, the bond between father and son would not be broken. Not on this day. Cue WWE’s overnight shipping capabilities to the rescue.
Angle spoke about getting the gift back, courtesy of his podcast The Kurt Angle Show. The Olympian recounted the experience: “Well, my son Jason Jordan, my son on TV, gave me a photo of him when he was seven years old, wrestling. It was on TV. He gave it to me. I wanted to keep it and I actually forgot it at the arena. So my wife was going crazy. Like, ‘You gotta get this thing.’ I’m like, ‘Don’t worry about it, it’s just a photo of Jason.’ She’s like, ‘We have to track this down.’ She calls WWE and tells them that they need to track it down and go back to the arena. So some producer from WWE actually did it, and they found the photo, and they sent it to us. They overnighted it to us.”
Jason Jordan was revealed as Kurt Angle’s onscreen son on July 17th, 2017. Unfortunately, Jordan suffered a neck injury that effectively ended his in-ring career. Jordan currently works as a producer for WWE.
